Derek Frye is a vice president in Aon’s Health Solutions practice. As leader of the audit, compliance, and technology departments, he leads the audit and technical teams conducting over 1,000 Rx audits annually in service of Aon’s clients.
Derek joined Aon in 2007 and brings thirteen years of technical and auditing experience to Aon. Prior to joining Aon, Derek held analyst and managerial roles in the information technology sector.
Derek’s audit experience includes Medicare Part C & D compliance audits, CMS data validation audits, Medicare and commercial claims audits, rebate audits, contractual guarantee audits, prescription drug event audits, and retiree drug subsidy audits.
Derek first began working in the industry in 2007.
Derek is one of the firm’s national subject matter experts regarding pharmacy audit and compliance. He holds a leadership role in the firm’s national pharmacy practice, leading Aon’s pharmacy audit team—the team performing the largest volume of pharmacy audits in the nation. Derek has been quoted in a variety of industry publications and has presented at several industry forums on the topic of pharmacy audit and Medicare compliance.
