Grace Lao has worked at Microsoft Corp for 18 years, most recently as the leader of Microsoft’s Global Finance Operations, responsible for both captive and outsourced financial shared services operations across 150+ countries including procured to pay, global payroll, accounting services, intercompany accounting, royalties and content operations, financial and management reporting and controls testing procedures. She also has extensive financial planning and business analysis experience, having had a number of financial controllership and business controllership positions in both the Enterprise and Consumer Online business units at Microsoft.
Prior to Microsoft, Lao trained as a Chartered Accountant in Canada, and had worked as an auditor and then as a management consultant at Ernst & Young Canada.
