John Rhodes

John Rhodes is Deloitte’s Lead Client Service Partner for Morgan Stanley, and global pharmaceutical and consumer products business segment partner for GlaxoSmithKline.He has more than 35 years of experience with Deloitte. Rhodes has also served previously as the Lead Client Service Partner for The Procter & Gamble Company, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Mead Johnson Nutrition Company, Abbott Laboratories and the Schering-Plough Corporation.He has been Deloitte’s advisory partner for a number of Life Sciences companies including Monsanto Company, Abbott Laboratories, Covidien, Takeda, Barr Pharmaceuticals, Eisai and Pharmaceutical Product Development.In the role of Lead Client Service Partner and Advisory partner for our clients he has extensive experience working with management, audit committees and boards of directors with respect to accounting and reporting, internal control and global emerging risk, technology and business issues.

 

Rhodes also served in Deloitte’s National Office Accounting Consultation group, and has been an industry professional practice director working with audit teams and clients on complex accounting and reporting matters. He has represented the firm in a number of professional committees working with the FASB Emerging Issues Task Force and the AICPA.

 

He serves as Deloitte’s Global Managing Partner for the firm’s Life Sciences Industry Audit Practice.In this role, Rhodes is responsible for the firm’s global practice for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical products companies. He has significant experience in accounting and auditing, SEC reporting, business process and contracting issues, corporate compliance, strategic alliances, research and promotion collaborations, joint venture formations and mergers and acquisitions.

 

Rhodes also serves on a number of firm senior leadership committees including the professional practice quality council, partner leadership development and co-chairs the firm’s senior partner compensation committee.

 

He has a BS in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University. Rhodes is married and has four children and four grandchildren.
