Margaret Merritt is a partner in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice and the FAAS market leader for the Ohio and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area with more than 25 years of Big 4 and executive accounting experience in corporate leadership roles.
She has extensive experience dealing with complex accounting and reporting matters including SEC reporting, carve-out financial statements, restatements, purchase accounting, IPO readiness, adoption of new accounting standards, and other accounting changes. In addition, she has led global initiatives relating to record to report process transformation including training and developing teams to succeed in higher value roles. Ms. Merritt’s experience spans a broad range of industries including technology, diversified manufacturing, life sciences, and automotive.
Ms. Merritt received a B.S. in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and graduated with summa cum laude honors. She is a certified public accountant in Ohio and Pennsylvania and a member of the AICPA and OSCPA.
