Neil Gardner

Neil Gardner joined Northrop Grumman as part the merger between Northrop and Orbital ATK in June 2018. He currently serves as Director, Affordability, Compliance and Forward Pricing. In this role, he oversees Corporate Budgeting, provides Government Accounting Compliance guidance to the Corporate Home Office and Sectors, and oversees Corporate Forward Pricing including the preparation, submission, and DCAA Forward Pricing Audits.

Mr. Gardner previously served as Director, Government Compliance for the Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems (NGIS) Sector. In this role, he oversaw the Government Accounting Compliance efforts for NGIS and was the lead focal to DCMA and DCMA.

Prior to the merger, Mr. Gardner served as Vice President, Ethics and Compliance for Orbital ATK and was responsible for developing and overseeing the Ethics and Compliance Program and also leading the Government Compliance efforts to ensure compliance with FAR & CAS. He was also the lead focal to the DCMA CACO and DCAA Resident Office.

Prior to joining Orbital ATK, Mr. Gardner served as Senior Manager, Government Accounting for Ball Aerospace & Technologies from July 1997 to September 2005. He also served on the Ball Corporation Compliance Committee and was the Ball Aerospace Ethics Officer. 

Prior to joining Ball Aerospace, Mr. Gardner worked for the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). He worked for DCAA between July 1987 and July 1997 and performed a variety of audit assignments including incurred cost, forward pricing, post-award, CAS, and MAAR reviews.

Mr. Gardner holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Utah State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
