Call for Nominations: CGRC, COT and CBF

FEI invites members to consider joining one of the following three committees:Committee on Governance, Risk & Compliance (CGRC) The CGRC seeks to enhance member knowledge of GRC better practices, to arm members with approaches for educating boards and fellow executives about GRC issues, to have a positive influence on public policy and to prepare finance professionals for future GRC challenges and stakeholder expectations. The current chair of CGRC is James Schulien, Vice President, Global Internal Audit at UTi Worldwide Inc. If you are interested in joining the CGRC, please email Lorraine Malonza at [email protected] or call 973.765.1047.Committee on Taxation (COT) FEI is looking for individuals (e.g., VPs – Tax, Chief Tax Officers, Senior Tax Counsels) to join the Committee on Taxation. COT formulates statements and positions on tax legislation, policies, practices, rules and regulations, addressing economic/social implications of taxes, simplification and administration, and tax and accounting relationships, and communicates these to the executive and legislative branches of the government. COT meets in person four times a year in Washington, D.C. to meet with senior policymakers in U.S. and international tax and is currently active in the tax reform debate on Capitol Hill. The current chair of COT is Keith Butler, Senior Vice President Tax at Duke Energy.Committee on Benefits Finance (CBF) FEI’s Committee on Benefits Finance is made up of senior-level financial executives who lead the financial areas of pensions, healthcare, compensation, and employee benefits. CBF develops recommendations on existing and proposed legislation and regulations affecting pensions and profit sharing plans, health and disability insurance, unemployment compensation and regulation, and other areas. CBF meets in person twice a year in Washington, D.C., and twice a year in New York. CBF has closely followed federal policies affecting pensions and retirement plans and implementation of the Affordable Care Act. The current chair of CBF is Lauren McCullough, Director – Global HR Finance at Alcoa.
