Reengineering the Finance Function
Description The traditional finance function is often overburdened by complex processes and excessive controls. Reengineering finance translates to paring down transaction processing costs, redirecting the workflow toward more analysis, and expanding the finance staff's role in strategic decision-making. This study shows how six companies--Advanced Micro Devices, Allergan, CDI, EDS, Johnson & Johnson, and Motorola--reduced costs while strengthening their finance functions through reengineering.
