 The demands on audit committees continue to grow, as companies experience exposure to new risks and regulatory requirements. In June 2017, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board adopted a significant new standard, setting requirements for significant additional disclosures in the auditor's report on an issuer's financial statements.  We will explore the new standard, requirements and considerations for financial leaders and audit committees.

All global companies should be working to get themselves compliant as regulations will become effective in mid-2018.  Have you started your preparations for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance? GDPR is applicable to a myriad of organizations that collect, process or store personally identifiable information regarding EU citizens, even for companies that have no operations in Europe.

State Boards of Accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual course for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.

For FEI CPE credits, one credit hour equals 50 minutes according to NASBA guidelines. Some states boards may differ on how many minutes constitute a credit hour.
