Academic Relations Committee
WHAT IS THE ACADEMIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE (ARC)?
This committee hosts an Award night on the evening of the April Dinner Event where college juniors and seniors majoring in accounting, economics or finance are recognized for their achievements and plans to pursue careers in Accounting and Finance.

WHAT ROLE DO VOLUNTEERS PLAY IN THE ARC?
Volunteers spend most of the year maintaining relationships with the participating colleges/universities, updating and reviewing application materials and selecting the junior and senior award winners for the April celebration.

DOES ASSISTING WITH THE ARC REQUIRE IN-PERSON MEETINGS, ETC.?
The committee has hourly phone meetings each month from September- February and an in-person multi-hour meeting in March to select the award winners. Planning for the Award night takes place at meetings and through email.

Career Management Committee
WHAT IS THE CAREER MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE?
The Career Management Committee serves in-transition and working professionals with assistance in the management of their career/job search and hosts professional events to help professionals keep their network active and vibrant. This includes, but is not limited to, monthly networking and speaker events held year-round, career advice, jobs leads and resume review.

WHAT ROLE DO VOLUNTEERS PLAY IN THE CAREER MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE?
Volunteers advise and assist the chairs in the yearly planning of speakers, assisting in the recruiting and follow-up of guest speakers for the monthly events and event topics, providing career advice on an individual basis and helping to maintain the "back office" administration for the meetings and attendee database.

DOES ASSISTING WITH THE CAREER MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE REQUIRING IN-PERSON MEETINGS, ETC.?
While many of the tasks can be conducted by email or telephone, the Committee does meet at least twice per year to plan its speaker calendar. We also would like committee members to attend the monthly speaker/networking engagements generally held on the third Tuesday of each month in the evenings at our Waltham sponsor's location. Career advising is sometimes done on a face to face basis depending upon the volunteer's schedule.

Diversity & Inclusion Committee
WHAT IS THE DIVERSITY & INCLUSION COMMITTEE?
The Diversity & Inclusion Committee goal is to promote diversity as a strategic component in FEI Boston's success through the coordination of programs, partnerships, and resources.

WHAT ROLE DO VOLUNTEERS PLAY IN THE DIVERSITY & INCLUSION COMMITTEE?
Volunteers advise and assist the chair in achieving the goals set by the committee.

Membership & Involvement
WHAT IS THE MEMBERSHIP AND INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE?
We welcome new members and retain members by ensuring they take advantage of the benefits of the organization including being active in Executive Events, Professional Development and Career Management. We also organize events which further support member involvement and engagement.  Additionally, we reach out to potential FEI members and assist them with membership to FEI. We answer questions, invite/host them to FEI dinners, and FEI events to engage them with FEI Boston. We are a resource to these potential new members.

WHAT ROLE DO VOLUNTEERS PLAY ON THE COMMITTEE?
We provide support and are a resource to support the activities of the committee, including connecting and engaging with the membership on a regular basis.  We make contacts by phone, e-mail, Linked In and letters to reach out and introduce FEI Boston to local senior executives. We have meetings and attend events to be a resource for new and potential new members.

DOES ASSISTING WITH THE MEMBER INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE REQUIRE IN PERSON MEETING, ETC.?
Both being active in monthly committee meetings and other events noted above is considered important to the success of the committee and its members, as well as connecting with members through-out the year. These committee meetings are done via conference call. We do encourage you to attend as many events as your schedule will permit. Our most important charter is to welcome new and potential new members in person at events to give them the real FEI Boston experience.

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Committee is currently meeting via ZOOM.

Partners Committee
WHAT IS THE PARTNERS COMMITTEE? 
The Partners Committee is responsible for defining the goals/objectives of the Partner program including identifying prospective chapter Partners and building/enhancing relationships with existing Partners. Also includes development and organization of events to maximize the mutual relationship between the Partner organizations and the FEI membership. Develops necessary marketing materials to support and promote the program.

WHAT ROLE DO VOLUNTEERS PLAY IN THE PARTNERS COMMITTEE?
Volunteers liaison with our partners to help build and expand their FEI relationships to enhance the value of the partnership.

DOES ASSISTING WITH THE PARTNERS COMMITTEE REQUIRE IN-PERSON MEETINGS, ETC.?
In person meetings may occur from time to time, but most of the committee work is accomplished via teleconference and e-mail. Getting together in person periodically with your assigned partner(s) is highly encouraged.

Programs Committee
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM COMMITTEE?
The Program Committee arranges the 6 monthly Executive Events including the venue, program planning, soliciting speakers and promoting the event. Additionally, the committee writes a "Here is what you missed" article for each event to be included on the website and in the newsletters.

WHAT ROLE DO VOLUNTEERS PLAY IN THE PROGRAM COMMITTEE?
Volunteers assist in the execution of the charges described above. Two volunteers are needed for each monthly program to assist the speaker and greet attendees as well as take photographs.

DOES ASSISTING WITH THE PROGRAM COMMITTEE REQUIRING IN-PERSON MEETINGS, ETC.?
Pre-meeting and pre-conference work will be conducted via teleconference and e-mail. As detailed above we do need committee members at the event on a rotating schedule.
