5:30 – 7:30pm
Networking and Dinner Program

Special guest Jack Derby, Professor of Entrepreneurship at Derby Entrepreneurship Center at Tufts University, keynotes a presentation on how entrepreneurship is not reserved solely for start-ups striving to be the next unicorn. Rather, the practices and tools of innovation can be applied almost universally – from turnaround situations to the soundest of corporations, and from work groups to an individual’s own career.

Jack is also the president of Derby Management, a consulting  practice based on his deep expertise in the specializations of business planning, sales productivity and marketing optimization.  Prior to starting Derby Management, Jack served as CEO of Mayer Electronics and President of CB Sports; his corporate background also includes President of Litton Industries Medical Systems, CEO of Datamedix, and Executive Vice President of Becton Dickinson Medical Systems. Today, Jack is an active and highly engaged board member with a long investing history as an early-stage investor as General Partner at Kestrel Ventures, Chairman of Common Angels and currently as a General Partner at Converge Ventures.
