Stay in the Game with FEI Boston! Cybersecurity, Crisis Communications, Data Analytics, IPOs and more.

The FEI Boston Chapter thanks its best-in-class members, partners and Board for another terrific year of learning, networking and giving back.  We met at  top venues – Gillette, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the buzzy Archer Hotel to name a few; with speakers from new and known companies – Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Eastern Bank and iRobot for example; and terrific topics – Cybersecurity, Crisis Communications, Data Analytics, IPOs and more.

A few things we learned:
  • On the topic of cybersecurity, prevention is much less costly than after-the-fact response.
  • For crisis communications, if you’re engaged in a proxy or activist contest and there’s something you want to say that’s really going to make you feel good, don’t say it.
  • Ownership of data is as important as analytics. When ESPN streams a game, who owns the viewership data, ESPN or the teams?
  • A traditional IPO is only one path to capitalization and value realization. In today’s environment, you’re wise to also plan and prepare for alternatives.

Although our in-person programs go on hiatus for the summer, we are busy planning so watch this space and check your email for our exciting September ’22 kick-off.  Stay in the game with FEI Boston!
