Event Agenda
4:00-4:30 p.m. - Networking

4:30-5:30 p.m.- Professional Development Session, "Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development  (OECD) Pillars One and Two: Digitalization and Minimum Taxation in a Global Economy", presented by:
Barb Derus, Transfer Pricing and Global Value Chain Partner
Peter Terilli, International Tax and Global Value Chain Managing Director
Priya Venkateswaran, Senior Manager of Transfer Pricing
Anna Zajac, Senior Manager, STS Customs and International Trade Services

Get up to speed on how companies engaging in cross-border transactions with a digital component (via internet, app, etc.) need to be prepared to address the global minimum taxation goals being outlined by the OECD.  US MNC’s and their non-US subsidiaries could be impacted by additional layers of taxation even if they have already been subject to tax under existing mechanics.  This session will aim to help the audience understand how these initiatives could pose potential tax increases, reporting requirements and added layers of complexity and audit risks. Understanding how to navigate these changes, potential impacts to the business and some actions that could be taken to mitigate the risk will be covered in this informative and educational session. You should attend if your company has global sales (even with minimal non-US entities), global operations with multiple non-US jurisdictions,  international expansion, revenue above $100M and in any industry.

Learning Objectives:
  • Understand the current frameworks around Pillars One and Two
  • Recognize how these pillars will affect your business
  • Understand potential opportunities to mitigate the impacts to your business
