"Foreign Exchange: An Introduction + Critical Components of a Risk Management Program"

Learning Objectives
In this session, attendees will be provided with an introduction to the foreign exchange (FX) market and the critical components of an effective commercial foreign currency risk management program. After the session, attendees will be able to answer such questions as:
  • What is the FX market? Who are the major market participants? How are exchange rates determined? What moves the market?
  • What are the foundational FX products, how do they work, and how are they used?
  • Why and how do commercial companies manage their foreign currency risk?
  • What are the critical components of an effective commercial foreign currency risk management program?
