JOE T. GARCIA’S MEXICAN RESTAURANT

This year's Spring Social and dinner will be held at the venerable Ft. Worth landmark, Joe T. Garcia's Mexican Restaurant. This legendary Mexican style restaurant has delighted Ft. Worth residents and visitors since its opening on July 4, 1935. Joe T. Garcia's has been a family owned and operated establishment since its founding and continues to be operated by the Garcia-Lancarte family. Currently there are four generations of family members working in the restaurant.

The restaurant has grown exponentially from its humble origin with a seating capacity of 16, to its current seating capacity of over 1,000! Despite the substantial growth, all meals are prepared in accordance with "Mamasuez's" (Mrs. Joe T. Garcia's) original recipes. The exquisite gardens are largely designed and maintained by Lanny, the eldest grandson

There are several notable unorthodox features about Joe T.'s family run business:

· Joe T's has never used paid advertising. The family believes that "word of mouth" is the best advertising.

· There are no dinner menus and only two dinner meal choices - fajitas or enchiladas.

· Joe T's does not accept credit card payments. The family prefers to reinvest the credit card charge savings into the beautiful gardens and high quality table linens for their patrons.

The convenient downtown Ft. Worth address is a short walking distance from the historic Fort Worth Stockyards

Menu - No menu selection is required for this fajita and enchilada buffet dinner event.

Attire - The atttire for this event is Business Casual

Free parking - Parking is available in the lots adjacent to and directly across from the restaurant.

Rain or Shine - If the weather does not cooperate with our outdoor dining plans on the Los Portales/Hut patios, please do not cancel your attendance! Our networking reception and dinner event will be held rain or shine. If it is raining, our event will take place in the lovely La Paloma dining room.

Music - Musical entertainment will be provided by Mariachi Real de Alvarez.

CANCELLATIONS: If for any reason you need to cancel your attendance after registering, please contact Dessie Cunningham as soon as possible to help us manage our Chapter expenses. . "No shows" cost our organization thousands of dollars at each event. We strive to manage our chapter expenses judiciously so that we can continue to offer very high quality events and keep our annual membership and sponsorship dues as low as possible. We need your assistance in this regard. Thank you.
