We are very pleased and excited to be featuring "The Delicious Wines From Talisman" at our next FEIOC Wine Affinity Group Wine Dinner.
And, as a special treat, Marta Rich, co-owner of the winery, will be traveling down from Sonoma County to share these wonderful wines with us.
Talisman produces a number of highly rated wines that include some of the best Pinot Noirs made in Sonoma County. At a recent major wine tasting that included over 80 wineries and 300+ wines from throughout California, Talisman Wines proved to be among the "best of show."
The winery is co-owned by the husband and wife team of Scott and Marta Rich. Scott has an extensive resume as an enologist and winemaker for some of the top wineries in Napa. He started Talisman in 1993 as a "side project" that has grown to become his current winemaking focus.
Marta also has an extensive background in the wine industry with a focus on sales and marketing. She held senior positions with long tenures on this side of the business with Robert Mondavi and Calera before focusing her attention and energies on Talisman.
Marta will share about Talisman's history, production and the wines themselves during our dinner event. Brian Ruttencutter, our in-house "somm," will serve as master of ceremonies for the evening.
We will be pouring a delicious array of 8 wines that will feature their Burgundian style Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs along with a delightful Rosé and a surprise or two. You will also learn about and get to try one of their finest wines using the "Methodé Ancienne."
These lovely Talisman wines will be perfectly paired with an accompanying 5-course gourmet dinner from one of Orange County's top caterers.
