Portland Career Services: LinkedIn Best Practices

Recruiters, both agency and corporate spend a great deal of time on LinkedIn.  Why is that? And more importantly, how can this impact you as a financial leader looking to hire or a job seeker looking for a new position?

LinkedIn is a substantial and frequently used resource for attracting or locating talent and finding new professional opportunities.  We will explore how to leverage the LinkedIn platform effectively and provide you with a view from the recruiter’s perspective.

This session will cover best practices for creating, updating and optimizing your profile. It will also cover how to deploy the appropriate settings if you are either seeking new employment or hiring new talent. We will take a peek behind the standard platform view to determine how your profile stacks up against your competition.  And finally, we will offer some suggestions as to how your profile may be affecting hiring for your team.

Bring your laptop and be prepared to engage during this interactive session where you can immediately deploy changes that will help make your profile work better for you. There will be appetizers and networking from 5:30 to 6:00 PM. This session is approved for 1.0 CPE credits in Personnel/Human Resources.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN FEI PORTLAND MEMBER-ONLY (OR MEMBER-QUALIFIED GUEST) EVENT, THANK YOU!
