FEI Tampa Bay Chapter Thursday, September 8th Networking Event & Panel Discussion

Please join us at the historic Tampa Theatre on September 8th for a panel discussion that will bring us all up to speed on development efforts in the downtown area.  Mark House, the Managing Director at The Beck Group; Richard Gonzmart, President of the Columbia Restaurant Group; Gregory Williams, Co-Founder of Cardinal Point Management; Jason Woody, President and CEO of the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant & Research; Punit Shah, CEO of Liberty Group; and Leroy Moore, SVP and COO with the Housing Authority of the City of Tampa will give us their inside information and speak with panel members about the future that the area is working towards. It is going to affect all of us with the amenities available, the food and entertainment scene, and the traffic and infrastructure to support the growth.
 
Attendees will learn the areas that are in development, the types of businesses being courted for involvement and the direction in which future growth will take our city.
 
Panelists:

Richard Gonzmart is a fourth generation family member and President of Columbia Restaurant Group.  Under his direction, the Columbia has expanded from two locations to seven.  Cha Cha Coconuts, Ulele and Goody Goody are also part of the Gonzmart Family Of Restaurants. Mark House, Director of Strategic Projects at Beck, works with Beck’s Leadership and Business Developers across the firm to seek out investors and end users of real estate where we can provide program/project management, design and construction services. One of the country’s largest commercial contractors, Beck has been committed to Florida since the early 1980s. Notable projects that Beck has built in Florida are the The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, USF Health CAMLS in Tampa, University of South Florida’s Marshall Student Center, multiple projects at The University of Tampa, numerous schools in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Manatee Counties, Corporate Center’s 2, 3 and 4 at International Mall in Tampa, The Sykes Building, (recognized as the “round” building in downtown Tampa) and Airside “C”, the Southwest Airlines airside at Tampa International Airport. Gregory Williams graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate. Prior to co-founding Cardinal Point, Mr. Williams worked for Fidelity Investments in the Real Estate Private Equity Group and Advance Realty Group, a regional owner, developer, and property manager as a professional in the development and capital markets areas of the firm.

Jason Woody serves as the President and CEO of the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant & Research. He and his dedicated team have helped bring the “gift of sight” to over 67,000 men, women and children around the world His true commitment to help those blind or visually has been demonstrated by his over 25 year tenure with the Lions Eye Institute.  Jason serves on multiple boards and committees such as the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, University of Tampa Board of Fellows, and the Executive Committee of the Eye Bank Association of America and Donate Life America as the Chair.  To learn more, click here.

Punit Shah serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Group, a company founded by his Father more than three decades ago. In this role, he has overall executive control of the investment and management divisions of the company and manages Liberty's private equity funds.  Liberty Group has owned and managed over $425 million in commercial real estate, including multi-family developments, senior living facilities, and 54 hotels representing more than 4,800 guest rooms affiliated primarily with Intercontinental, Starwood, Marriott, and Hilton Hotels throughout the United States.

Leroy Moore has worked in the real estate development arena since 1984 and currently holds the position of Senior Vice-President/Chief Operating Officer with the Housing Authority of the City of Tampa.  In this position Mr. Moore oversees all aspects of the Authority's Office of Operations and Real Estate Development including high profile projects such as HOPE VI Redevelopments, long range capital planning, leading the massive 12 city block mixed-use redevelopment project known as Encore, as well as strategic business planning and corporate vision management.  To read more, click here

For FEI CPE credits, one credit hour equals 50 minutes according to NASBA guidelines. Some states boards may differ on how many minutes constitute a credit hour.
