Presentation Overview

The competitive landscape for attracting and retaining executive and management talent has been fierce.  That combined with the great recession has forced many companies to explore strategies beyond just cash compensation.  These plans are often “on balance sheet” and require the attention of the CFO to better understand the cash flow costs and P&L impact of such plans. Questions about eligible group, competitive benefit levels, plan design including vesting and payout options, non-compete provisions, plan security and plan funding and financing are all items that need to be taken into consideration.

Learning Outcomes
  • Better understanding of both on- and off-balance-sheet plans
  • Plan design options available including vesting and payout options
  • Financial impact of the plans and best ways to fund these benefit obligations
  • Plan implementation and administration requirements
  • Timing and costs associated with implementing a plan
