The ideal Chief Financial Officer candidate is currently in a Financial Executive leadership role where ideal work chronology includes individual CFO roles lasting at least +4-7 years or more, leading all financial aspects for $100M - $700M companies, in order to have experienced outcomes and long-term effects of their decisions, strategy, and leadership (having worked for a family owned company is a strong plus). Must have direct work experience with Consumer Goods manufacturing companies operating on tight profitability vs. traditionally high margin industries (e.g., software, liquor industries, etc.); high volume CPG is a plus, but excludes apparel. Possess strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and associated operational accounting (e.g., manufacturing overhead absorption, Cost of Goods, etc.), to include direct Finance experience across multi-plant manufacturing environment (strong preference for multi-country international experience). Currency and commodity hedging and FX experience desired. In addition to possessing deep financial strategy and financial operations experience, candidates must be strategic, analytical, and rational thinkers, as well as experience working with and around highly diverse multi-lingual company, supplier, and customer cultures. Must have direct ownership of tax & audit responsibility. Successful candidate will be extremely detail oriented, and enjoy direct hands on involvement and responsibility as a strategic partner in the business. Enjoys and able to empathetically relate and interact positively with all levels of an organization's hierarchy (from board level to individual contributor). MBA and CPA are highly preferred.
