A Message From Our President - April 2024

Greetings FEI Tampa Bay members, sponsors, and friends,
 
It’s hard to believe it’s April already. Our chapter has had a full year – with incredible events and volunteer opportunities, and many chances to connect and grow professionally. As your president, I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished and looking forward to our upcoming events.
 
On May 3, our chapter will return to Metropolitan Ministries for a chapter volunteer day. This is an organization that is near and dear to my heart, and I know those who volunteered last year were blown away by all the Metropolitan Ministries is doing in our community. I strongly encourage you to register for this event.
 
As most of you know, our chapter takes a hiatus from in-person meetings during July and August. If you are new to the chapter or looking to get connected and involved, I strongly encourage you to attend an upcoming meeting before this break. We’ll visit Marine Max in Clearwater on May 7 and TopGolf in St. Peterburg on June 4. Registration is open – so reserve your spot and add these events to your calendar!
 
There are also many other ways to get involved in FEI on the local and national levels. Locally, our board has several committees – from membership to programs – and we’re always looking for new volunteers. Nationally, FEI has mentorship opportunities, and several technical committees and roundtables that advocate for the profession.
 
The 2024 Financial Leadership Summit will also take place from May 19-21 at the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. This is an enriching two-day experience taking place right in our own back yard!
 
I hope you’re making the most of your FEI membership and are as happy as I am with the state of our local chapter. Please, if you have comments, ideas, or suggestions, don’t hesitate to reach out to a board member.
