Committee on Taxation Meeting - September 2017

FEI’s Committee on Taxation (COT) will hold its quarterly meeting on September 13-14 2017 in Washington, DC. The meeting agenda includes several topics related to comprehensive tax reform and other topics of interest to corporate tax executives. The meeting will kick-off on the evening of September 13 with a networking dinner at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Avenue, N.W., where COT members will be able to network in a casual setting. The meeting will continue the following day at 8 a.m. at the Hyatt with a full day of presentations and roundtables. Topics expected to be covered at the meeting include the latest on tax reform proposals being put forth in Congress and the White House, an update on tax policy from the Treasury Department, and a discussion with senior IRS officials on current tax administration issues. 

The meeting will also include two roundtable sessions that allow COT members to discuss current trends, share best practices and identify future Committee initiatives.

Continuing Education
Financial Executives International (FEI) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.NASBARegistry.org.

For FEI CPE credits, one credit hour equals 50 minutes according to NASBA guidelines. Some states boards may differ on how many minutes constitute a credit hour. Contact your state board for more information. Available in all States except those that do not accept web based self-study credits (Florida, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas and West Virginia).
