Ms. Sherry Cusumano

Sherry Cusumano, RN, LCDC, MS is the Administrative Director of Community Education and Clinical Development at Medical City Green Oaks.  She is also the immediate past President of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) North Texas and serves on the NAMI Texas Public Policy Committee.  She served on the State Policy and Advocacy Network with the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Sherry has been active in NAMI for more than 13 years as a teacher, instructor and volunteer.  She is a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and is the co-chair of the Dallas Fort Worth Hospital Council Foundation’s Community Health Collaborative Advisory Board and serves on the Mental Health First Aid Subcommittee.  She has worked in the field of providing treatment and care for people with behavioral health disorders since 1977.  She is currently working on a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Nova Southeastern University with a focus on psychiatry and public policy.  She enjoys providing education on mental illnesses and addictions for the community, is an active advocate on behalf of those with mental illnesses as well at their loved ones.
