Ebrahim Abbasi is the chief executive officer and president. Ebrahim is a veteran of Silicon Valley with an established track record in high growth as well as turnaround success stories. Prior to Violin, Ebrahim served as president for Roamware (now Mobileum) where he was responsible for restructuring and refocusing the company on a growth path. Prior to Roamware, Ebrahim held the position of president and COO at Force10 Networks Inc. where he transformed the company into a major cloud computing powerhouse and led its acquisition by Dell in 2011.
Before joining Force10, Ebrahim held the position of senior vice president/COO/CIO for Redback Networks, Inc. where he directly contributed to the turnaround of the company’s corporate operations functions that led to a $2.1B acquisition by Ericsson in 2006. Prior to that, Ebrahim was the executive responsible for access product operations and a member of the executive team that grew Ascend Communications into a $24B acquisition target by Lucent Technologies.
