Troy Janes

Troy Janes has extensive academic and professional experience in accounting.  He has served on the faculty of the University at Buffalo, Rutgers University and Purdue University.  He has taught classes at the graduate and undergraduate level in auditing, forensic accounting and financial accounting.  His research interests include the role of accounting information in predicting financial distress and the use of accounting information in financial contracting, and his research on behavioral influences in stock markets has been featured in The EconomistForbes, and The New York Times.  Dr. Janes' professional experience includes time as an auditor and real estate consultant at Ernst & Young and as assistant controller in a real estate management company.  He has earned a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Michigan and a BA in accounting from Utah State University.  Dr. Janes is licensed as a CPA in Pennsylvania.
