Michael Volk

As the lead for PSA’s Cyber Risk Solutions and Emerging Tech practice areas, Mike Volk is responsible for helping clients make informed decisions about technology & cyber insurance and develop strategies to reduce cyber risk. For the past ten years he has worked in several roles where he helped individuals and organizations navigate the complex cybersecurity landscape. Mike is engaged in the cybersecurity community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI).

In addition to helping clients make informed decisions about cyber insurance, he also led the development of PSA’s proprietary CyberON product that combines assessment services, cybersecurity technology, incident response into a simplified affordable package for small businesses.

Prior to joining PSA, Mike worked with individual job-seekers, industry experts, as well as government organizations and contractors in areas related to cybersecurity training and workforce development. He has authored several articles on topics related to cyber risk, cybersecurity education/training and cybersecurity workforce development and regularly contributes to radio, tv and print media.

EDUCATION
Mike received his Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from McDaniel College. Additionally, he held a CompTIA Network+ certification from 2/2013-2/2016 and currently holds the Cyber COPE® Insurance CertificationSM (CCIC).
