As HEC’s Chief Operating Officer, Michelle is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that projects and initiatives align with the mission and objectives. Michelle brings two decades of senior leadership experience, providing some of Hawaii’s largest companies with legal guidance and operational strategies in the areas of employment, banking, and corporate law. Michelle is a twenty-plus-year attorney who began her career in private practice as a litigation associate. Michelle then spent over ten years in a variety of legal and business roles at American Savings Bank, including five years as its General Counsel, supporting human resources and other key operations. Following her success there, Michelle worked at ProService Hawaii as Corporate Counsel and Director of Legal Operations, leading a team of HR staff attorneys, HR consultants, and workplace safety consultants.
