Mike Steward is a managing director in KPMG’s Ignition team focusing on Tax Reimagined. Prior to joining KPMG Ignition in 2021, Mike worked in the tax department at a Fortune 50 company for over 15 years. Mike led the US foreign affiliate tax reporting team for his last few years and co-led the design and development of the international tax compliance and reporting systems used to compute US inclusions, track E&P and PTEP, file annual US tax returns, and process post-return adjustments. Most recently, Mike led the Federal - Foreign team for the Insourced Solutions for Tax business at another Big 4 accounting firm. In that role, Mike and his team facilitated the preparation and review of the international components of complex consolidated Federal income tax returns for multiple large multinationals and co-developed tax technology solutions to address the myriad of new laws and reporting requirements that were introduced by tax reform.
