Mike is an Assurance partner and leads the PwC Private Company Services (PCS) practice for the Greater Michigan market and is the leader of PwC’s national engineering and construction practice. Mike brings extensive experience serving US-based companies with international ownership, middle market clients, private equity-owned, entrepreneurial, and family-owned businesses.
Besides his deep experience working with clients on financial reporting requirements in US GAAP, German GAAP and IFRS, Mike has served a three-year tour-of-duty with our National Office, leading the firm’s efforts around ASC 606 and IFRS 15 (revenue recognition), as well as specializing in IFRS. Mike has also served as the Chairman of AICPA revenue recognition (ASC 606) committee (2014-2018) Mike holds a both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.
Mike lives with his wife Katie and two boys, Ethan and Caleb in Oakland, Michigan. Mike is a boat captain at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club and has sailed around four of the Great Lakes! He is an accomplished guitarist and keyboardist, and is currently working on a new recording project as a singer-songwriter and planning to do an album release concert series with proceeds donated to charity.
