Professional background
Ken Cheung is a Senior Manager in the Advisory Services Practice with over 15 years of project management experience in large scale software implementations. He has spent the past 5+ years specializing in cybersecurity with a focus on Identity Governance and Administration (IGA). Ken has led numerous successful Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementations; spearheading design and technical delivery as well as strategic planning and organizational change management efforts. He has a strong technical background and is experienced leading a cross functional team to support a variety of IGA initiatives to address critical business needs.
 
Engagement experience

Engagement Lead - Public Electric Utility Company

  • Managed the IAM transformation initiative to replace a legacy IAM solution (IBM Tivoli Manager) with SailPoint ldentitylQ; project scope encompassed user and account lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), access request, application integrations, access  certification, password  management, SOD policies, and custom reporting. Performed IAM capabilities assessment with key stakeholders and developed detailed roadmap to improve the IAM maturity of the organization. Developed business and technical processes to facilitate compliance with SOX and FERC regulations.

 Engagement Lead - Fortune 500 Mortgage Organization

  • Managed a phased, multi-year effort to replace the organization's existing Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solution. Supported the initiative by providing deep IAM subject matter expertise in managing the design, development, testing, strategic planning, external communication and training. The project entailed implementing SailPoint ldentitylQ as a front-end provisioning portal and Radiant Logic RadiantOne as a back-end data store to act as the authoritative source for external identities and access.

 Engagement Lead - International Financial Organization

  • Facilitated the implementation of an Identity and Access Management solution (SailPoint) to replace CA's Identity Suite for all domestic and international divisions. The initiative enabled standardized user provisioning and access certification to critical applications as well as self-service password management functionality for internal and external users. Enterprise role-based and attribute­ based access was deployed for both systems. Led strategic planning sessions with the client stakeholders to define IAM Services for multiple divisions across the organization, both domestic and international.

Project Manager - Fortune 500 Mortgage Organization

  • Supported the planning and execution of a transformation initiative for the client's Identity and Access Management program. The effort spanned multiple workstreams including the design and implementation of a new IAM platform (SailPoint ldentitylQ) to replace their existing tool (Oracle Identity Manager). Managed the gathering and analysis of business and technical requirements from stakeholders of disparate business divisions and made recommendation of design decisions based on IAM industry best practices. Designed and implemented an enterprise training curriculum for a phased rollout of 110 for twenty thousand end users.
