Bradley J. Preber is a former CEO of Grant Thornton LLP, a leading global provider of audit, tax and advisory services to companies, non-profit organizations and government entities. Previously, Brad served as chairman of the Partnership Board, national managing partner of Business Risk Services and as the office managing partner for the Phoenix practice. He has more than 35 years of experience serving as a consultant, expert witness, forensic accountant and fraud investigator. He has investigated cases alleging fraud, waste and abuse, and frequently speaks, writes and teaches on fraud-related matters.
Brad is the recipient of many major accolades: Top 25 Consultant by Consulting Magazine, NACD’s Directorship 100, Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by Accounting Today Magazine. He was also named an Employees’ Choice Awards Top CEO by Glassdoor. He graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1981 with a degree in business administration and a concentration in accounting and was inducted into the Robert O. Anderson School of Management Hall of Fame in 2008. He is a certified public accountant in Arizona, Mississippi, New Mexico and Texas, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Among many other professional memberships and certifications, he is a certified fraud examiner, certified global management accountant, certified construction auditor and is certified in financial forensics. As an active member of his community, he has held a variety of board seats and leadership roles in organizations in Arizona and New Mexico.
