Myrtle Jones

Myrtle Jones is a strategic leader with exceptional expertise in Corporate Tax, Internal Audit, and organizational management. Ms. Jones has a Bachelor of Professional Accounting degree from Mississippi State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Ms. Jones is currently Sr. Vice President, Tax at Halliburton Company, responsible for managing the company’s tax matters in over seventy countries. She also serves as the executive sponsor of Halliburton’s Black employee resource group and leads the Finance Departments Vision and Engagement Committees.

She was appointed to the board of Synagro Technologies, Inc., a Goldman Sachs portfolio company, in 2022, where she is the Chair of the Audit Committee. Previously, she held executive Tax and Internal Audit positions at Service Corporation International and GlobalSanta Fe, Inc.

Ms. Jones devotes considerable time to community service. Her volunteer activities reflect her passion for improving the women and unrepresented population’s lives and economic status through education, exposure, and workforce development. She currently serves on the boards of The Houston Grand Opera, Stages Repertory Theatre in Houston, and Dress for Success Houston.

A native of Mississippi and a long-time resident of Houston, Tx, Ms. Jones has two daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, and a grandson. She enjoys reading, movies, theatre, long walks, fashion, and spending time with friends and family in her spare time.
