Shamika Edwards

Shamika Edwards is an audit senior manager based in New York serving clients in the Financial Services Industry. She has more than 10 years of experience serving a diverse array of clients in sectors ranging from banking, payments, blockchain & digital assets, investment management and other fintech companies. In her varying roles she served clients ranging from the first year of revenue through initial public offerings and adoption of SOX. Some of her clients are in our emerging growth company practice while others are amongst Deloitte’s largest and most prestigious clients.

On a day-to-day basis, she manages relationships with a variety of stakeholders including subject matter specialists, client personnel and of course her local and global engagement teams.  She is passionate about diversity, equity & inclusion and her involvement includes participating in the leadership of the New York Black & Allies community, one of the eight communities that allow Deloitte professionals to connect on shared identity and celebrate allyship while building support networks to strengthen their feelings of belonging at the firm. She is also a National Ambassador for Deloitte’s MADE commitment to increase diversity and equity in the accounting field. She also assists with recruiting efforts locally, regionally, and nationally particularly for diverse candidates.

She graduated from Harrison College in Barbados and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration – Finance Concentration as well as a master’s degree in Professional Accountancy from Ithaca College. She remains involved at Ithaca College through involvement in the Business School Dean’s Advisory Council and as a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors. She is a Certified Public Accountant in New York.
