Robert Schmidt

Rob comes to tax with a legal background. He began his career in business litigation, transitioning to domestic and international business and tax planning for an accounting and law firm. Rob has worked with several different industry groups ranging from multi-billion dollar services businesses to telecommunication, technology, private equity funds and consumer product start-ups. Rob has in-house experience, including working in the international tax strategy group at Accenture LLP, and as international tax counsel for Levi Strauss & Co. He helped plan and implement the incorporation and structuring of Accenture LLP’s associated partnerships in the Western Hemisphere in preparation for a $15 billion public offering in the summer of 2001. Rob was also responsible for the international in-house tax strategy and planning in his position as Director and International Tax Counsel with Levi Strauss & Co. Rob advises clients in all aspects of international taxation, including:
