Mr. Michal Gayler

Mike is a Partner in the Consulting Services group. His primary disciplines include:

  • Litigation support

  • Transactional services relating to mergers, acquisitions, and debt/equity financing

  • Post-transaction services

  • Business planning and analysis

  • Financial accounting

  • Strategic consulting

  • Process improvements

  • Acquisition due diligence

Mike has significant experience with clients in the construction, distribution, entertainment, healthcare, manufacturing, oil and gas, retail, real estate, and services industries.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mike served as the Chief Financial Officer for six companies (including one publicly-traded company) and completed numerous other consulting engagements through his consulting firm, GaylerSmith Group, LLC.
Immediately prior to forming GaylerSmith Group, Mike served for three years as vice president of corporate finance with the investment banking firms of Buis & Company in Fort Worth and Southwest Securities in Dallas.

Mike began his career with Coopers & Lybrand LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP) as an Audit Manager in the Emerging Business Services practice in Dallas for eight years. Later, Mike served for five years as the Director of Accounting and Control for Super Club Corporation, which was an international roll-up in the retail and wholesale audio and video products industry, with over 450 stores and $380 million in annual sales. Super Club was sold to Blockbuster Entertainment Corporation in 1994.

Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Tech University Alumni Association as well as the Rawls College of Business Advisory Council at Texas Tech University. He also serves on the Advisory Council of the Fort Worth Film Commission.
Mike formerly served on the Board of Directors of The Family Place, a Dallas-based charity working to prevent domestic violence.
