Corinne Kneis

Corinne earned her Master of Education (EdM) and Master of Arts (MA) in Counseling Psychology (Mental Health Counseling Specialization) from Teachers College, Columbia University. Corinne graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology (Clinical Area of Focus) from Towson University. Corinne’s clinical experience combined with her vigorous educational programs make her an ideal clinician. 
 
Corinne has worked with clients struggling with various emotional challenges, mental illnesses, and physical/intellectual disabilities. She provided psychotherapy to clients with chronic illnesses, making her uniquely qualified in helping individuals navigate grief and loss. Additionally, Corinne facilitated group psychotherapy on topics of Mindfulness, Emotional Regulation, Mental Wellness, and Coping Skills. She taught Positive Psychology at Columbia University as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Corinne mentored the college students as they navigated the challenges of emerging adulthood and social/academic pressure. Her background in Positive Psychology has given Corinne tools to help her clients not only decrease symptoms, but to reach their full potential. Corinne specializes in the treatment of adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, grief/loss, and emotional challenges.

Corinne tailors her treatment interventions to meet the needs of each unique client. She helps her clients explore how life experiences have affected their thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Through emotional exploration and application of evidenced-based treatment, Corinne helps each client heal psychological wounds, gain resilience, and attain the fulfilling life that they deserve.
