Vin provides clients with insights and solutions based on more than 35 years of wide-ranging audit, accounting and consulting experience. 
 
He also speaks on a wide range of topics affecting for-profit companies and not-for-profit organizations.  Vin has authored articles including Pennsylvania Act 141 for Nonprofit Endowments and The Importance of an Effective Employee Benefit Plan Audit.  He assists in the leadership of the employee benefit plan audit team in BKD’s Pennsylvania offices.  The team provides audit and consulting services for a significant number of benefit plans each year, assisting clients with managing the risks and fiduciary duties of administering their employee benefit plans and, if necessary, identifying the appropriate corrections needed to maintain their plan’s compliance with IRS and United States Department of Labor regulations.
 
Vin is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
 
He is a current board member and past president of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania, a charitable organization that helps feed the poor and a past board member of the Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation.  He is active with United Way of Erie County and is a member of Erie Serra Club, which fosters vocations in the Catholic Church.  He is a past president of Community Shelter Services, a not-for-profit that shelters and feeds the homeless, a past board member of the Humane Society of NWPA and a corporator of Saint Vincent Health System.  During 2006 and 2007, Vin was a lay advisor to the audit committee of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.  He also coached Millcreek Youth Athletic Association baseball for more than 10 years. Vin is also a current board member of The Nonprofit Partnership. 
 
Vin is a 1983 graduate of St. Bonaventure University, New York, with a B.S. degree in accounting.
