Laura Ferich

Laura Ferich is the senior vice president/chief financial officer for the Detroit Pistons.  In her role, she overseas accounting, financial reporting, taxes, payroll, and risk management.  She played an integral role in the financial oversight of the $80 million Henry Ford Detroit Pistons Performance Center, the company’s practice facility and corporate headquarters, in the heart of Mid-Town Detroit.  She is also responsible for working with the NBA finance team on league reporting and revenue sharing as well as ownership on investment maximization.  Prior to her role as CFO, she served for seven years as Corporate Controller for the Detroit Pistons and Palace Sports & Entertainment.  She oversaw the financial aspects of the Detroit Pistons relocation to Detroit, including the spinoff of the entertainment business and the formation of joint venture 313 Presents.  

Prior to joining the Pistons, Ferich spent 11 years working in corporate aviation for Pentastar Aviation. At Pentastar she served in various roles ending as Vice President of Finance and Support Services. She took great pride in implementing many organizational systems and financial processes as the company was a start up venture.  During her time at Pentastar, the organization grew from a single location to one that operated in three states with four locations. Ferich’s early career began at Pricewaterhousecoopers working in both the transaction services group, where she worked on over 30 buy side and sell side transactions, and audit practice.

A native of Waterford, MI, Ferich earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Michigan State.  She later completed her MBA at the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.  Ferich and her husband, Steve, have 3 children and reside in Bloomfield, Michigan.  She enjoys working out, cooking, and tutoring in Algebra.  She is a member of the 313 Presents Board of Directors and provides financial oversight for the Detroit Pistons Foundation.
