David Herbert is a managing director in the Technology Consulting practice of Ernst & Young LLP. He has deep Fortune 50 industry experience with a clear track record of delivering value through broad scale transformation. David is a credentialed accountant and has broad and deep experience in both global business operations and corporate center. He held numerous positions prior to his current role, including the Chief Financial Officer of a $4B division and Director of Corporate Planning & Forecasting in a Fortune 50 corporation.
For the last fifteen years David has led transformations at the Corporate and Business Unit level that include functional as well as commercial change. While he is known to be forward thinking, he has a clear track record of execution and delivery that led him to be selected to create the strategy for and lead/execute the transformation of a 4,000 global accounting workforce.
He puts data and technology right at the center of global teams, helping to shift their bias from a transaction processing & book-keeping focus to one where insight generation becomes a competitive advantage. He moves everyday activities to lower-cost solutions while introducing technologies and new organizational designs to redefine how work is performed and the value that is created.
David earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of York.
