Joan Varrone is an experienced high technology CFO providing consulting CFO Services on an as-needed basis. Her consulting work has ranged from setting up and running the entire administrative function, business planning, strategy, raising funds, and acting as Part-Time and Interim CFO.
Prior to her consulting practice, Joan was a full time CFO for over a dozen years at a number of technology companies, and she also held senior finance positions at large, multi-national companies. As CFO, she raised over $100 million of venture capital funding, lead an IPO, accomplished a successful turnaround, and helped to grow companies both domestically and internationally.
Joan also has deep international expertise from roles in FP&A and Treasury at several multi-national companies – which included foreign currency risk management and tax-efficient financing of 40 overseas affiliates. She also executed several significant real estate transactions in the U.S. and overseas (over $100 million in deal value).
Joan’s expertise spans a variety of industries, including software, security, cannabis, nanotechnology and materials science, manufacturing, not-for-profit, medical devices, professional services, agriculture technology, and mobile gaming.
