Background

Ed has more than 15 years consulting experience with a focus on innovation and strategic planning. He is a leader in the Audit Strategy, Transformation and Innovation group that manages large-scale innovation efforts and participates in significant innovation investments including cognitive technologies, blockchain, robotic process automation, data extraction and manipulation, data visualization and analytics.
Ed is responsible for driving enculturation, ideation and implementing innovations in a structured fashion. He leads a team that scopes, develops and assesses innovations against rigorous business and regulatory criteria. Activities include researching and developing solutions related to artificial intelligence, blockchain, cryptocurrency, decentralized finance, mixed reality, and emerging protocols and innovations.
Ed speaks frequently on innovation and emerging trends and is co-author of The Hyper-Social Organization (McGraw-Hill).

Past projects
  • Worked closely with Audit technology and engagement teams to develop the first iterations of automated vouching tools, smart glasses and a blockchain sandbox
  • Worked closely with KPMG Audit Partners to deliver over 20 Audit Ignition sessions
  • Worked closely with National Audit Industry Leaders to develop a strategic plan for their sectors
  • Designed and delivered over 30 design thinking workshops with Audit leadership and engagement teams
