Scotte Hudsmith serves as Chairman of Smile Doctors, LLC., overseeing the executive leadership team and the company’s rapid expansion. Since joining the company in 2014, Smile Doctors has grown from two Austin-area locations to 200+ locations in eighteen states.
Mr. Hudsmith has more than 25 years of executive leadership with multiple successes in developing and implementing growth strategies in PE backed healthcare companies. Prior to joining Smile Doctors, he was CEO of Parental Health, a company he founded in 2009. Previously held positions include EVP of Finance and Business Development for Passport Health Communications, Inc., where he led the company’s strategic growth efforts, positioning the company for a highly successful exit. Mr. Hudsmith served as President of LBMC Technologies in Brentwood, Tenn. and President and CEO of Syngistix, Inc. He has served in various executive roles with companies in multiple industries and has held board appointments for public, private and nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Hudsmith attended Louisiana State University and the University of Memphis (TN) where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting and MIS. He is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School. He was a member of Leadership Health Care, the Nashville Health Care Council and FEI. He remains active in the communities where he has lived and worked, coaching youth soccer, leading youth church programs and Boy Scouts of America.
