Jim Dorey is the President and COO of Inserra Supermarkets, one of the largest family-owned and operated supermarket chains in the metropolitan area, which operates ShopRite and PriceRite Marketplace stores throughout New Jersey and New York. Inserra Supermarkets employs several thousand associates and owns 23 ShopRite stores in Bergen, Passaic and Hudson counties in New Jersey as well as Rockland County, New York, as well as a micro fulfillment center in Northern NJ. The company also owns and operates two PriceRite Marketplace stores in Garfield and Paterson NJ.
Jim previously served as president of Price Rite Supermarkets, a registered trademark of the retailer-owned cooperative Wakefern, a company he joined nearly 12 years ago as vice president – Marketing/Merchandising. Prior to that, he was director of Marketing at PRRC, Inc., which operates more than 50 stores in the tri-state area and New England. Earlier in his career at Wakefern, Dorey held management positions in Real Estate, Dairy and Frozen Food Divisions.
Throughout his career, Dorey sought to expand his business skills as well, completing the Leadership at the Peak program of the Center for Creative Leadership and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Jim grew up in Northern NJ and graduated from Montclair State university, where he remains active and supportive.
