Megan Mackinson

Megan Mackinson is a Senior Vice President within Jones Lang LaSalle’s Workplace Planing and Projects group. Her current responsibilities include working with corporate leaders to create value for their companies through thoughtful planning and workplace strategies; as well as leveraging technology to execute informed real estate decisions and create the best work environment for their employees. This past year she has been focused on supporting clients plan for office re-entry, implementing new polcies that support hyprid work models, and building dynamic workplaces that support the evolving needs of her clients.

Ms. Mackinson joined the firm in 2010 and has experience in Workplace & Occupancy Planning, Project Management, Facilities Management, and Construction Management.  

Prior to her current role, Ms. Mackinson served as the National Occupancy Planning Consulting Lead, managing a 35-person team across the US. In this role she supported over 100+ million SF of planning projects, addressing and solving her client’s pain points, while delivering cost saving solutions. Prior to leading the OP Consulting team, Ms. Mackinson was a Sr. Project Manager on the Motorola Mobility account.  She was responsible for over 1.5M sq ft and an average of 12M dollar spend for Motorola Mobility annually. Her past projects include the Motorola Mobility separation, airport hangar build-out, CEO suite build-out, video conferencing projects, facility capital improvements, site relocations, decommissions, lab expansion and improvements, and teledata conversions.

Ms. Mackinson earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, focusing on Management and Information Systems.  Ms. Mackinson is also a LEED Green Associate and member of the Chicago Curling Club.
