Based in the firm’s Stamford office, Adam Kovach co-leads Spencer Stuart’s global Private Equity Practice and leads the practice in North America. Additionally, he serves as a core member of the firm’s Board and Financial Officer practices. From an industry perspective, he works primarily across the technology, industrials, consumer, and media sectors. During his tenure with Spencer Stuart, Adam has helped to place over 600 executives and board directors in leading companies around the world.
In his 22 years with the firm, Adam has extensive experience working with public and private companies, leading hundreds of CFO, Audit Chair, and other board director searches. He also has deep experience helping private equity firms such as Genstar Capital, Berkshire Partners, KKR, Hellman and Friedman, Goldman Sachs, Abry, Providence Equity, Carlyle, Apollo and TPG on critical searches within the firms and their portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Adam worked as a communications consultant for Watson Wyatt in its business integration and communications practice. Before that, he was the operations manager for an industry-leading staffing and management search firm.
Adam earned a master's degree in human resources from the Clarkson University School of Business and is certified by the Society of Human Resource Management. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Elmira College.
