Herbert K. Parker has served as Chief Financial Officer of Harman International, Executive Vice President of Operational Excellence, and recently left Harman after the company was acquired by Samsung. As CFO and EVP - Operational Excellence, Herbert’s responsibilities included all financial activities of Harman as well as Mergers & Acquisitions, Information Technology and Internal Audit. In both roles, Herbert reported to Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Dinesh Paliwal and was a member of HARMAN’s Executive Committee. Herbert joined HARMAN in June 2008 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Herbert serves on the board of TriMas (NASDAQ: TRS) Corporation. Additionally, Herbert currently serves as Chairman of the Board at the Stamford, CT YMCA. In 2014, The Wall Street Journal ranked Herbert #10 on the publication’s list of top 20 performing CFO’s in the S&P 500. Herbert earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Lee University in Cleveland, TN.
