Alex Debbink

Alex Debbink is a Professional Accounting Fellow at FEI where he is responsible for the accounting policy actions including overseeing advocacy, research, education and thought leadership in support of FEI’s network of senior-level financial executive members.  As part of this role, Mr. Debbink liaises with the Chief Accounting Officers and Controllers that comprise FEI’s Committee on Corporate Reporting.  He also interfaces with other FEI technical committees and participates in various collaboration outlets of FEI.

 

​Mr. Debbink joins FEI from EY where he was previously a senior manager in the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) group in the Chicago office, specializing in technical accounting and SEC reporting matters.  He joined EY and FAAS in 2014, and during his time at EY, he has advised many clients across industries with his passion for capital market transactions, technical accounting, and SEC reporting, including significant work guiding clients on the accounting and reporting implications associated with go-public transactions, acquisitions, spinoffs, and restructurings. Prior to joining EY, Mr. Debbink was a Post-graduate Technical Assistant at the FASB.

 

Mr. Debbink is a licensed CPA in Illinois, and holds a BA in Accounting and Finance as well as a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
