Doug Dean

Doug is an Assurance partner and leads PwC's Private Company Services practice in Pittsburgh.  He has over 27 years of experience working with privately-held businesses and publicly-traded companies in a broad range of industries including energy, industrial manufacturing, metals and technology.  He has worked with organizations seeking financing and those developing new products and markets, as well as with companies going through the IPO process.  Doug also has extensive experience in assisting clients with complex accounting and disclosure issues as well as advising clients in the areas of systems, processes and controls.

In August 2010, Doug completed a two-year international tour in Budapest, Hungary where he served as the Regional Leader of PwC's Central and Eastern European US Quality and Compliance ("Q&C") team.  As U.S. Q&C Regional Leader, Doug provided technical advice on complex accounting and disclosure matters to U.S. public, private companies and private equity funds expanding into Central and Eastern Europe.

Doug also previously served as the U.S. Metals Leader from March 2007 to August 2008.  As U.S. Metals Leader, Doug helped clients solve problems and achieve their business objectives by sharing industry insights and developing though leadership such as Forging Ahead, How your cpmany can prepare to manage carbon as an asset and A Closer Look: The Dodd Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act - Disclosures Related to "Conflict Minerals."

Doug holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University.  Doug is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and Ohio and is currently a member of the AICPA.
