Dr. Eric Fruits is the Vice President of Research for Cascade Policy Institute, which focuses on state and local policy issues. He is also the Chief Economist at the International Center for Law & Economics, which deals with antitrust and competition policy. In his free time, he teaches economics at Portland State University and provides expert testimony in litigation. Dr. Fruits had provided invited testimony to the legislature on tax policy and public employee pension reforms. His research has been published in the top-tier Journal of Law & Economics and his op-eds have been published in The Economist, Wall Street Journal, as well as local news outlets.
