Bill Scott has been the Chief Financial Officer at The Northeast Maglev, LLC since August of 2017. As the company grew, so did his responsibilities, and he took on the additional role of Chief Operating Officer in July of 2018. In his dual role, he oversees financial responsibilities for both The Northeast Maglev, LLC and Baltimore Washington Rapid Rail LLC, as well as ensuring that roles, responsibilities, and resources are aligned with the overall mission and strategic goals of both companies.
For more than 20 years, Bill has held various roles in corporate finance at industry-leading companies. Prior to Northeast Maglev, he was the CFO of Smartlink, LLC in Annapolis, a national staffing and services company. He also served as the Treasurer and Director of Finance for Cristal Global, a $3+ billion worldwide chemical manufacturer of titanium products. Prior to his executive roles, Bill spent time in various finance capacities at WR Grace, Black & Decker, and MedStar Health.
A native of the Baltimore region, Bill received his MBA at the University of Maryland’s Robert H Smith School of Business, his Bachelors of Science in Finance at Towson University, and attended high school at The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland in Baltimore.
