Eric is currently the Chief Operating Officer of BKD, one of the largest accounting firms in the US. In this capacity, he oversees firm-wide operations and acts as a liaison between the National Office and BKD’s four regions. Throughout his career, Hansen has provided audit, tax and consulting services to public and private companies in the manufacturing, health care, construction, transportation and financial services industries.
Eric is serving as Chair of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). He has been an active volunteer with the AICPA, including serving as chair of the Finance Committee and a member of the Compensation and Audit Committees. He was part of the Task Force on the Future of Learning and served as a member of AICPA’s Major Firms Group. He has been a member of the Board of Directors and AICPA’s governing Council. He has also been active as a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs, serving as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors.
Hansen received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Evangel University. He completed business and leadership training at the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education program and a dynamic leadership development program sponsored by Harvard University.
